New Content and The Future of AndroidScout
First and foremost let us address the elephant in the room. Yes, it’s true we have all quit writing and have decided to start a zoo. 😛 All kidding aside, I want to take a few minutes of your time to talk about the content on AndroiScout or to be more accurate the lack of content.
Amidst speculation that AndroidScout may be dead in the water, I would like to take a moment on behalf of my entire team to apologize for our overall lackluster performance and our general absence of content in recent weeks. There has been a debatably good reason for this, and while we are unable to discuss said reason in its entirety, it just appears, from an outsider’s perspective, that we have all gone AFK. I assure you that this is not the case. What I can tell you is that the recent Content Drought has little to do with a waning interest on our part, and much more to do with an ongoing effort to implement a complete soup-to-nuts restructuring of the way things are done here at AndroidScout in an effort to provide our readers with the most professional, relevant, and sustainable website that we can possibly muster. With that being said, it has come to our attention that while our future aspirations are no less likely to be realized, all of that applied effort will have been for naught if we continue to allow our existing platform to stagnate in the mean time. The goal here is to maintain public interest throughout the course of our growing pains. We want to change the way AndroidScout presents its content. Up to this point, our main focus has been ROM Reviews, and while there is nothing wrong with those, we want to create more diverse content. As you may have noticed our more recent content is focused around other things in the tech world and this has only been a baby step in our effort to change our content. As I said, we have big plans for AndroidScout, plans that at the moment I am unable to expand upon as we are still ironing out the kinks such as looking for a web developer to help execute those plans. What I can say is that as the site stands currently, our ability to create new and broader content is constrained. So, in the coming weeks the whole face of the AndroidScout site will be changed. While we will not close the site during this changing process, we ask that you please bare with use if parts of the site become inaccessible or do not work as intended. This facelift, if you will, is only another baby step in our ultimate goal of improving our site and improving our content. We have bigger plans for the near future and this is just a smell step in the direction we wish to take AndroidScout. Thank you for reading and understanding. As always if you have any comments, questions, or concerns feel free to contact us at any time.
Now that we have addressed that issue there is more news. One of our very own AndroidScout writers was gifted with an invite and has been able to get his hands on the OnePlus 2. I speak of none other than yours truly. That’s right after what seemed like an endless battle with USPS, I have the OnePlus 2 in my hands. While it is too early to give a comprehensive review, the OnePlus 2 has already left some impressions and you can read those here:
But that is not all, besides the upcoming review of the OnePlus 2, I will also write an article where I put the OnePlus 2 head to head against its little brother the OnePlus One and answer the question that’s been on people’s minds since The 2 came out. “Is the OnePlus 2 worth the upgrade from the OnePlus One?”
The good news doesn’t end there. I mentioned that we are all working on new content that is related to the ever-changing tech world and while I can’t give you specifics yet, I can tell you to expect that extra content to start arriving very soon.
As always, here at AndroidScout we are community driven. If you have any suggestions, questions, comments or doubts let us know in the comments or contact us through our various methods. We are constantly working on improving our content for you the reader and are constantly looking for your feedback.
Thanks for reading and have a happy Monday/Tuesday.
